Admission Requirements
Prospective Students must be admitted first by the Graduate School. Application for admission to the Graduate School are submitted to
the dean of the Graduate School at least six weeks before the start of the term for which admission is sought in order to allow adequate
time for complete processing of the application. Applications will not be accepted after the University deadline for applicants, which is
usually three weeks before the beginning of a term; date is published in the Schedule of Classes. Each first-time application must be
accompanied by an application fee. The fee for domestic students is $25, the fee and for international students is $50. See Application for Graduate School.
Applicants for the Master degree must hold a bachelor's degree from a program that is accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission
of the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology at the time of graduation, or provide evidence of an equivalent academic background
to the Dean of the College of Engineering and the appropriate department chair.
Applicants must submit an official undergraduate transcript, undergraduate grade point average, at least two letters of recommendation, and
official results of the quantitative and analytical portions of the GRE.
Applicants with a bachelor's degree must have an overall grade point average of 2.75 (or better 3.0) based on a 4.0 scale for the last two
years (64 semester credits or equivalent).
